If Jesus Said We Don't Have To Die, Why Do We See EVERYONE die?

"I tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom." Mat 16:28

"If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? You must follow me." Because of this, the rumor spread among the brothers that this disciple would not die. But Jesus did not say that he would not die; he only said, "If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you?" ( This is the disciple who testifies to these things and who wrote them down. We know that his testimony is true.) John 21:22-24

And in his own words: He who testifies to these things says, "Yes, I am coming soon." Amen. And come, Lord Jesus Rev 22:20 You can read it that John is saying; "Yes, I John am coming soon."

Have you ever wondered why there are no confirmed reports of John's death? Only rumors, and of course he received "the Revelation of Jesus" on Patmos, but from there what happened to him?

John took Jesus at His WORD!! He believed when his Lord said " if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death."

Perhaps it is time for you to re-read Revelation 11.. "The 2 witnesses" is how it is introduced, but in fact it is the account of the 2 EYE-WITNESSES - SHOWING UP TO WITNESS AGAINST THIS GENERATION!

I can hear them railing against the modern pulpiteers and practitioners of the priestcraft; "Jesus Christ I knew. I worked and walked with Jesus Christ. And my friend, YOU are not (in the likeness of) Jesus Christ" ...

He more than any other saw deeply into the eyes, and heart of the Nazarene. Scholars have determined that John was perhaps a teenager during his three and a half years of walking with Jesus. He of all the disciples then would have the advantage of being young enough to be able to think of a 30 to 33 year old Jesus as a 'Father'.

If this biblical hypothesis winds up being correct, then we will say that John earned his position of immortality due to his LOVE for Jesus. The lead contender for the other EYE-WITNESS position we would probably say was SCARED INTO his immortality... Just kidding - sort of...

You see, the other fellow who has remained alive for over 2000 years, and is now preparing to co-lead a grand 3 and 1/2 revival is the only person in human history to HAVE BEEN DEAD FOR FOUR DAYS!!! Surely the lessons that Lazarus learned while in the "next life" for 4 days where enough for him to pay careful attention to every word that came out of the Guy whose spoken words loosed him from the chains of death.

It would appear that John will be the witness for THE GOOD NEWS to the CHURCH, while Lazarus will focus on sharing the GOOD NEWS with the JEWS.

You won't believe me when I tell you that our modern "gospel" is in fact the enemies version of the "good news" which Jesus delivered. Think about this for a second... the actual Greek transliteration of "the good news" is "the wellness message". Do you mind if I yell that (stand back) - THE WELLNESS MESSAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Folks, if we were LIVING the wellness message that was delivered by Jesus we would see no sickness. Disease would be no more. Massive hospitals would be a thing of the past...

This is a description however of our near future - the coming millinium will see peace and wellness as the result of government of Jesus ruling over the earth much the same as He ruled over Isreal in ancient days.
